British Gas Corporation (1969 – 1977)

Thames Water (1978 – 2005) Responsible for establishing GIS based Land Asset Management System; still operational.

1989 - Dealt with property aspects in the Water Privatization process on the London Stock Exchange.

1995 - Established property business as separate, but closely integrated, division. Created non-regulated subsidiaries - Development subsidiary, Kennet Properties, successful.

1996 - promoted creation of St. James Homes, JV with Berkeley Group; has become a significant player in the London residential market. Thames Water grew to become the world’s third largest water company - managed portfolios in Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, Chile and US, plus Germany, after the acquisition of Thames Water by RWE, German Power giant.Innogy, the large UK power company acquired by RWE - Property Management activities of that company incorporated.

2003 - Thames Water acquired American Water, the largest privately owned water company in the USA. Relocated to the United States in April 2004. Retired from the business with effect from 1st July 2005.

Network Rail (2003 – March 2006)
Privatization of the railroad network in the UK during the 1990’s proved to be highly problematic. In 2002, involved with Central Government appointees to design new structure which would address public concerns and position the new company to release value in the extensive assets. Non-executive member of Network Rail Property Board until recently.

Reading Local Strategic Partnership (2003 – 2005) - Private sector board member.UK

UK Reclaim (2001 – 2005) - trustee/director and Chairman of UK Reclaim, a social enterprise, non-profit, recycling company; based in Reading, UK.

9 Yards LLC (2005 – present) - registered in New Jersey. Currently working on a number of projects in both USA and UK.

Personal Interests - My wife and I started a UK charity to build and run a Junior School in Bangalore, South India, which now educates more than 200 children. We recently invested in a new venture in Kalyani, West Bengal, India in partnership with an experienced local, Indian, non-profit NGO.March 2006.
